Pixie woods or pixies in the woods?

I go through Stockton on my way to Sacramento. There is a sign on the highway for a place called Pixie Woods

I have often wondered about what this must be. I have thought about going to check it out but I am afraid I would be disappointed if I went and there were no pixies
